Guess what!

This twice-a-year concept was dreamed up by a Pepsodent marketing team in the 1970’s.

It’s not based in science.

Plus – quite frankly – it’s simply not true.

You know how in the 1950’s marketing teams told us that cigarettes were good for us – but they’re not?

Well the same goes for twice -a-year dental appointments. They are not good for your overall health either!

How can that be?

Because you need regular deep cleaning of your teeth to fully protect yourself from periodontal disease.

If left untreated, periodontal disease not only causes bad breath and tooth decay.

Periodontal disease can make people vulnerable to diabetes, heart and kidney disease, Alzheimer’s, asthma, osteoporosis, and cancer.

Unfortunately, studies report that half of all adults have periodontal disease.

Why is this percentage so high?

Because far too many people are not taking proper care of their teeth and gums – because they’re seeing their dentist only twice a year – or even less.
